Sticking out ones tongue in terms of Emily Post book of etiquette is definitely a sign of either rudeness and/or silliness. Some of my favorite times in my life involve the utter goofiness. The best is when I am able to capture that essence on camera, whether it's milk coming out of the nose, or just a weird position. It's all gold to me. So here's a goofy tongue for Tongue Out Tuesday.
Sharon Jamilkowski is famously know for her animated faces. In 2000, she won the wonderful high school superlative of "Most Likely To Have Her Face Freeze Like That". From that point on, daily facial expressions were practiced in the mirror with great success. Follow this animated puddy face on her journey! Have a face idea? Face #53 "Abduct This"
As a child, aliens (from outer space not from another country) scared the living day lights out of me. Even to this day, ET freaks me out. When I was in high school, I started to get bloody noses and was convinced that I was being abducted by aliens nightly. Little did I know that my nose bleeds were cause by something other than alien implants. After a recent viewing of The Fourth Kind with actress Mila Jovovich, my fear of extraterrestrials was reawakened. The flashbacks from their abductions by the little green men gave me nightmares like no other. So, as therapist say, I'm facing my fears straight on with some martian faces. Anything ranging from Alien nation to Communion, these faces embrace my worst nightmares.

Face #52 "Fo Serial"
About a week and some time ago, I stated my status as a professional audience member at tapings for TV. I told everyone about my recent success at the Thanksgiving Day Parade taping of Carrie Underwood's performance airing on CBS during the parade. Thanks to Mr. Paul Scott, he DVR-ed it and took a fabulous picture of my audience "faking crying skills" at work! So here is the proof that my ramblings are not dreams but rather reality! Enjoy!
I am the lady brightly lighted in the back, with my hand covering my mouth!

Face #51 "Book Cover"
My favorite books to read are (semi)autobiographical, especially from a comedy career individuals or a flair for the odd and bizarre. I've read everything from Sarah Silverman to David Sedaris. Recently, I discovered the amazingness that is audio books at the New York Public Library. These audio books are free to download with a 21 day expiration date. Now, on my subway rides, I "read" or rather listen to these great books. If there is one thing I miss the most about about a real paper book, it's the fantastic photos of the author! Most photo's include the author in a blazer or suit, posing ever so cavalier; some even do something a little different like any Chelsea Handler. I've taken 2 possible poses/faces for my own autobiographical book.

Face #50 Flashback Friday "Family Fun Time"
It's that time of year when most people spend their holidays with family and loved ones. Some of my best childhood memories are filled with great food and family members- like my great grandpa "Grampy" would always pull quarters out of my ears or the time my brother (who was 4 years old) told the table over dinner that "My Dad spits in the toilet when he pees". Those memories will forever remain priceless. Sometimes I wish I had photos or videos of those memories. Here are some other priceless family memories from my laugh.... with some great faces.
This is a photo of me watching my brother who graduated from college, getting his picture taken.... it was cold out and I was inappropriately dressed. And that's my Uncle Mike taking a photo.
I am reading my cousin Anna Jean a story "If You Give A Pig A Pancake". Very Serious Stuff.I love this photo. It was taken at my Aunt Diane's Wedding to her husband Mike and it was Red, White And Blue themed since it was 4th of July weekend. At the church hall, Carl (my brother) and I are making amazing faces with my older brother Lee in the background. God bless America!

Face #49 "Stuffing Yo Face"
Assuming you're American, you're probably "Stuffing YO Face" on this Thanksgiving. Turkey, stuffing, cranberries, mashed potatoes and tons of pies. My favorite things at Thanksgiving are canned Cranberries (that look like the shape of the can), Turkey and Tollhouse pie (aka Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie). I will definitely be stuffing my face with Carbs and etc. Every year, for the past 5 years, I've spent Thanksgiving with my friends, since none of us have the time or money to make it to family dinners. Usually by the time dinner is ready, I'm already boozed out and the life of the party. A couple years ago I dumped gravy into my friends lap (with both of us intoxicated not realizing what was happening- someone else had to bring to our attention that I was pouring gravy all over her lap), and last year I made everyone say what they were "peaceful" for (yes- I realize that doesn't make any sense). I can't wait to see what this year's Thanksgiving is going to bring.
Here are a few favorite pictures from my Thanksgiving last year! Before and after face stuffing!

Face #48 "Two Beavers Are Better Than One"
If you watch, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, you may have seen the recent hilarious episode where the character Robin reveals her pop star/teen show song from her past "Two Beavers". They popped out puppet beavers and sang this fantastic song along with Alan Thicke. I couldn't stop laughing! So inspired by the "How I Met Your Mother" episode, I wanted to pay homage with my own "Beaver" face.

Face #47 Tongue Out Tuesday "How Bizarre"
Remember that 90s one hit wonder song "How Bizarre" by New Zealand's own OMC. "How Bizarre, How Bizarre- do do do, do do do, do do do How Bizarre". Clever lyrics, I know. I heard this song on a 90s compilation album and not only made me feel instantly nostalgic, but old. Regardless, this song always gets me thinking about bizarre faces I could make. So for this Tongue Out Tuesday, here are some "How Bizarre" faces in tribute to OMC.

Face #46 "Oh no you didn't"
Being slapped is something I associate with wife beaters and soap operas. The face of shock and pain usually takes hold post-slapping. I've only been slapped once, when a group of friends at a bar thought it would be funny to take pictures mid-slap. The pictures were awesome, the faces after were even better. Here is a re-enactment of the faces that ensued after a open hand slap.

Face #45 "I heart Jenn Dodd"
In honor of one Miss Jenn Dodd's birthday, I will be devoting this face blog to her today and how much she makes me giggle. I met Miss Dodd at a restaurant we both worked at and after it was revealed we both loved comedy, we became friends. I've watched her became a well-rounded adult who I love spending evenings over wine talking comedy. She has a great blog with videos of a wide variety of characters she does- Jenneral Assembly. Definitely check the blog out!
So Happy Birthday Miss Dodd, may this year be fruitful, fun and filled with funnies. Here are some awesome faces featuring the amazing Jenn Dodd!

Face #44 "Breaking the Seal"
It seems, whenever I drink beer, I pee more. Once I "break my seal" and pee for the first time after consuming a delicious cold brew, my trips to the bathroom become non-stop. The endless trips to the bathroom become a true annoyance, but a great minor relief. The faces one makes while relieving themselves are quite interesting and could be a voyeuristic peak. So as a partially intoxicated experiment, here are some snap shots of a "breaking the seal" situation.

Face #43 Flashback Friday "MmmBop"
I am not ashamed to admit, I've seen Hanson in concert 3 times. I loved them in high school and respect them musically to this day. The first time I saw Hanson, was at Nissan Pavilion in VA with my less than amused father, at a large outdoor concert venue, where I could barely see or hear these long haired blond boys. On my second attendance, I received a free ticket to a show Hanson performed outside of Macy's in Herald Square. I had just started college in New York City and was still very much in to boy bands and Hanson was at the top of my play list. The last time I saw Hanson perform was in 2004, at the China Club. It was a small intimate club, and I had won free tickets over the radio to attend. The week before, I had a tonsillectomy, removing both my tonsils and adenoids, so I was still on heavy pain killers. The show was in the evening so I went straight from class to the show, with an empty stomach, I popped the pain meds. As Hanson went on, the room started spinning and I felt as if I was dying. I laid on the floor moaning the whole show, with Mom's pointing and staring at me saying "This is why you don't do drugs". So for this FLASHBACK FRIDAY, here is a picture from the Hanson Fan Club website. I'm in it (next to the girl in the middle with glasses on), with the most ridiculous face. Enjoy!

Face #42 "Forever In Blue Jeans"
When I was younger, my parents always used to listen to Neil Diamond on vinyl. One of their favorite songs was "Reverend Blue Jeans". As a kid, I couldn't for the life of me figure out why there was a Reverend who wore blue jeans and why they would write a song about it... little did I know it was actually "Forever in Blue Jeans". Now, every time I go jean shopping that song plays non-stop in my head. I heard on the NPR Hourly Newscast that cotton prices were on the rise thus driving up jean prices in the near future. With that scare drilled in my head and a new found hole in my favorite jeans, I ventured out to shop for a new pair of blue jeans while the holiday sales were still hot. When trying on a pair of jeans I usually grab a size to small, a size I currently wear and a size to big- keeping in mind that jeans stretch. So even if a pair is a little tight, I'd much rather be forever in blue jeans.... so suck it up and in.

Face #41 "I'm a professional"
In this world, there are a large variety of professions. I would like to think on of mine is as a professional audience member. I've been seen in several audience settings, such as the MTV LIVE taping of the group Hello-Goodbye, The Daily Show and Colbert Report. Most recently, I attended a CBS taping of a Carrie Underwood concert for a holiday show. I must admit, I liked Carrie Underwood on American Idol, but have not followed her once she took the country road. When they filmed the audience reaction shots, I put my all into it- jumped up and down, swayed my arms and even fake cried. This is exactly what the camera looks for in its audience members. These are some shots for my audience member portfolio.

Face #40 Tongue Out Tuesday "Extreme Close Up"
Tongue Out Tuesday is giving you an extra special tongue lashing, with an extreme closeup. Ever since Wayne's World- the extreme close up always makes me giggle, even when it's a gross one like Ren and Stimpy. So for you to enjoy, on this November Tuesday, an extreme close up of my face times two. I give this two Tongues Up!
On the left, you can see the short stumpy tongue on an upward angle which shows off my neatly pruned nasal hairs.
On the right, you can see the flattened tongue with minimal lip action on an straight forward angle. This is the face I usually make into security camera- a little treat for security guards.
