There is a certain calmness about New York City in the summer. The streets hot and filled with tourist, but empty of all it's local friends. Long nights of drinking and outside frolicking hopefully leading to a summer love. All this makes NYC great for the warm months of June-August. One of my all time fave summer activities is a little jaunt to Coney Island for some cheap beer, fried food and sunshine. The smell of salt and the $2 Coronas that the little immigrants sell on the beach make my day. I look forward to AT LEAST one trip to this Island of Coney for fun. Here's some snapshots from a few summers ago of yours truly taking it all in, beer and sun in all. Please note I am pale and I use sunscreen in abundance.... that reminds me, I need to buy some of that.
